Friends that make you smile are EVERYTHING!!!

Honestly... I think my friends are the soulmates in my life...

I am surrounded by some AMAZING AMAZING friends in my life and I am so thankful for them!

Sometimes I think that my friends are my soulmates... and men might just be in my life to have fun with (I say that now because I'm single.. but that will probably change when I meet my true soulmate, let's be honest...)

But I want to share with you all the importance of keeping friends in your life that make you laugh and smile...

I literally spent my ENTIRE day yesterday laughing and smiling and having so much fun... and its entirely due to the company I surround myself with.

In life, we all have enough negative... sometimes you can get stuck in the go go go and forget to enjoy... you need the people you surround yourself with to put a smile on your face!

So cut the bullshit out of your life... if you are holding onto friendships that aren't growing you ... or making you happy... it might be the time to set them free...

I'm serious.. friendship is EVERYTHING! And I think I'm partially the happy person I am because of the people I surround myself with ... 

Bridget Jones' Diary - The Tanya Rad Version

So I've never seen the movie Bridget Jones' Diary up until this weekend ...

(Yes, I know I'm crazy... so don't even get me started)

Anyway... that's not the point here. The point is I had the same epiphany as Bridget Jones did while I was watching this movie...

I got hurt in my past... Really really hurt in my past. To the point where I've been single now for 3 years ... not because I haven't met amazing men.... but because I think deep down I am still so freaking scared and terrified to EVER love and feel loss like that again....

I know we all go through it.. and heartbreak is a part of life... 

But I I so vividly saw my future with someone in it. I saw out home.. I saw my ring... I saw us having children... and when your future comes crashing down in a 24 hour window... It can be pretty traumatizing ... even for the strongest women out there...

So I decided I can't have my walls up anymore... I need to slowly start pulling them down..

And to help keep me on track... My "Tanya Rad Diary" ....

This will help me track my feelings every day.... help me realize how many (or how little) men I'm meeting in my day-to-day...

And just help be a tool for my daily intention and progress...

#WCW - Ellen K

Most people admit Ellen K for her amazing career... And while I'm not here to discredit that in ANY WAY because it's pretty amazing.... I'm here to shed light on the reason I am in love with Ellen, the person she is!! 

Ellen is SO kind! She's one of the most thoughtful people in my life (if not THE most thoughtful). She's always going out of her way to make sure you are feeling loved and appreciated and I'll never forget how welcoming she was to me on my very first day on the show! 

A lot of women can get territorial. Or even bitchy when new women come into the work place.. But not Ellen! She is so welcoming ... So humble ... And just all around amazing! 

We need more like Ellen in this world, and especially in this industry!!

Right love.. Wrong time

The right love at the wrong time..

why would we be given the right love at the wrong time? You need the right love in addition to the right time...  to make it work!

timing is EVERYTHING and I've learned that so much over the last couple years.. 

I've experience intense feelings... I've experience intense passion.... But it just was not the right time. 

i believe that we receive these slivers of love in our lives to prove that we are capable of finding love in many forms... 

we are able to find many loves in our lives.... And when we find that love at the RIGHT time... Well that will just make all the heart ache worth it! 

A Daily Ritual of Mine!

A lot of you ask me how I stay positive on a daily basis... 

Why I try to look at the bright side of things...

Well, one thing that I do on a consistent basis is read a daily devotional. 

I try to read it every morning (yes even when I wake up at 4:30AM) ... it's a QUICK read... takes maybe 5 minutes a day... but it is a daily reminder / refresher / that there is a bigger purpose in our lives...

And its good to set the tone of my day... knowing that there is so much pain and negativity in the world... why not try to be a light in peoples lives?

Sharing my first .... EEK!

You guys are seriously ... THE ABSOLUTE SWEETEST!

I've been getting so many tweets, emails, texts about how I did the other night for the Troye Sivan #WILDPARTY livestream..

You know what they say.... you never forget your first... and I will NEVER forget this night! 

I did it 😭

My very first live album launch party that streamed on YouTube...  

I was nervous

I was excited

I was freaking out  

but I DID it!! 

sure I made a couple mistakes... And no I wasn't perfect.. 

but overall I think it went really really well! I learned so much, and rolled with a lot of the punches that happened 5 minutes before we were live! 

when shit hits the fan you just have to go with it... And it was such an amazing learning experience!!

I'm so happy I did it and challenged myself....  And totally got out of my conformt zone! 

Sending 'Just Because' Letters!

Sending "just because" letters is something I L-O-V-E doing... 

And when I get them back in return... I realize just WHY they are so important! And so needed!

1) Everyone is busy.. so knowing someone took the time to write the letter, address it, and put it in the mail is pretty impressive!

2) Getting something in the mail that ISN'T a bill is just as exciting as finding a $20 bill on the floor

3) Everyone could use a little encouragement once in a while.... even if it is in the form of a text message... just DO IT! You will make someones day!!
